Born in 1990, Istanbul. Native language Turkish, proficient in English. After finishing Vefa Lisesi, he started studying architecture at Maltepe University, in 2008 and graduated with a first degree in 2012. He took his master degree from ITU, Architecture (M.Arch.) program in 2015 after spending a semester as an exchange student at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). During his education, he participated in various jobs and attended to national and international competitions and he won Jury Special Award in Varna, 4th International Students’ Plein Air in Architecture Competition in 2011. After his graduation, he took part in projects in various functions and scales, such as: Kintele Congress Centre, Portonovi Masterplan, General Electric Istanbul Office fit-out in Avci Architects from 2015; Çeşme Private Residences in Dilekci Architects from 2017 and Antalya Kepez Urban Regeneration Project in Ozer Urger Architects from 2019. While working in offices, he also continued to lead and participate in various teams for the competitions and won Jury Special Award in İzmir Karabaglar Masterplan Competition in 2017. Serhat Aksu is currently working in MUUM as a Project Architect and taking part in projects like CER Istanbul since 2019 while giving support for graphical and visual issues for the office.
