3.TURKISH NATURAL LIVING OASIS PLANNED FOR CHILDREN WITH LEUKEMIA
Despite being located in a hot climate with little rain, Çankiri, Turkey, contains rivers, vegetation, and trees. The Health and Education Foundation for Children with Leukemia recently acquired land for a complex, called the Losev Natural Life Center & Drugless Therapy Institute, that suits lifestyles focused on nature, organic agriculture, and livestock management. Created by MuuM Architects, the 43,000-sf plan includes small conference rooms, open-air event and concert areas, workshop areas, a small market, greenhouses, organic farms, and permaculture facilities. It will also contain animal barns, compost management and waste disposal facilities, small-scale energy production systems, and water-related leisure facilities.
