The design concept centers around the idea of while providing a creative and innovative environment(Design Thinking Process) and have all catch the feeling of Istanbul while keeping the expression of SAP's spirit and values. In SAP Development Center Turkey, it is not quite different than usual work places and collaborative spaces, but, it is aimed to add a localized, cultural and social aspects by a conceptual sections of overall space which is referred as "the square"-featuring a large collaboration/communication area with a theme of a typical square of districts in Istanbul, the space is supported by a kitchenette. The space offers various socializing opportunites as well as it can esaily turn into a colloboration area by its flexible IT infrastucture. "the lane"-a line of various furnitures which offer colloboration/communication in an informal format within a theme of the small lanes in the varying districts of Istanbul. Visitors and users are amazed by the artistic silhouette of Istanbul made from rebars. And, the QRs on "the lane" are interpretation of small niche-spaces which serve for concentrated work and are named by landmark green parks of Istanbul; Gezi, Bebek, Maçka, Moda, YIIdIz. There are four work spaces for the developers which are named similar as the authentic districts in Istanbul such as, Beyogˇlu, KadIköy, Balat, Karaköy. It is intended to provide a goup of scpaes which offer alternative forms of colloboration and communication. All of the leased space is designed as a blank canvas that gives the possibility to the users to(re)organize the in strategies and approach and the methods each and everyday according to the in needs from scratch by the help of the flexible infrastructure and th emobility of the furniture. The materials chosen are wide lyrecyclable and local lypro curred. SAP's demand for a unique work place to attract local talents and the urgency of this, the project delivered within an accelerated time frame.
