Murat is one of the distinguished design leads at MUUM, renowned for his comprehensive involvement in delivering projects across various sectors. He completed his undergraduate studies at Istanbul Technical University and earned his master’s degree with a thesis on “Post Occupancy Evaluation of Office Buildings.”

He co-founded MUUM with Umut Iyigün in 1998, driven by their shared vision of innovation and sustainability in architecture. Over the years, Murat has led the strategic direction of the studio, ensuring the team remains focused and motivated to deliver exceptional service.

Murat is passionate about architecture and design, with a strong commitment to excellence and innovation. He is an effective communicator and leader, capable of inspiring and motivating teams. He is adept at navigating complex project challenges and delivering successful outcomes.

He is well-experienced in managing complex architectural projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction. He coordinates multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives. Murat actively participates in industry conferences and workshops to stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in architecture. He also engages in continuous learning and professional development to enhance his skills and knowledge in architectural design and project management.

In 2018, he expanded MUUM's international presence by establishing MUUM UK in London. Currently, he divides his time between Istanbul and London, overseeing global projects. His leadership and dedication to high-quality architectural solutions reflect his commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainable design practices.
