The new OYAK Headquarters Campus is located in the prestigious Çankaya district of Ankara and has been designed with the goal of creating a complex that distinguishes itself for the exceptional quality of its working environment and user experience. The highest design standards have been applied to offer the OYAK employees and visitors an exceptional level of working comfort, attractive outdoor spaces, ease of access, and energy efficiency.
Challenge
The building program has been distributed into 3 blocks of office buildings and a common social infrastructure that connects them at the base and serves as the main access to the central courtyard. The largest building, at the west end of the plot, defines the general entrance of the campus from the main road. The other two blocks, located on the east side of the plot, are connected under a “pergola”, which acts both as a sun barrier and as a distinctive architectural element that is recognized easily from a nearby environment.
Solution
However, the OYAK Headquarters Campus aims to become more than just an office space. It has been planned as a platform for social interaction, open to the general public for events, conferences, concerts, and celebrations both in its conference halls as well as the central courtyard.
